Update from Tanzania

Greetings from Tanzania, everyone!

Today was an amazing day of witnessing God at work in our midst. After hearing a powerful devotional from Faith regarding our authority in Christ, the team prayer-walked through some Hindu temples.  The team did some prayer-walking through the city, and we prayed over a sandal-maker in a small shop whom God had directed Faith to pray for.  We enjoyed lunch and fellowship with Pastor Prakash and Harsha, and prayed prayers of healing over Harsha and Pushba, a woman from their church who experienced immediate relief from a tooth ache.  In the afternoon we prayer-walked through some very busy, congested portions of Dar es Salaam, continuing to receive very curious stares from numerous on-lookers.  We encounterd a woman who makes fried foods on the street and sells them for a living to sustain her family.  This woman had lost her husband some time ago.  Through the interpretation of Prakash, the woman told us that she desired prayer for her business to do well, and for her knees, which give her great pain when she walks.  Faith and the team prayed over this woman who, upon being instructed to stand up and walk, reported feeling no pain!  God has given us Faith as our champion in healing prayer ministry, and we are all walking in new boldness as we continue to move forward.  We prayed over a friend of the business-woman, who now walks delivered from pain in her arms, legs, and back.  Her legs were not the same length, and we witnessed a stretching out of her shorter leg in our midst as Faith led her to stand straight!  Praise God!  His Kingdom power is being brought to Dar es Salaam!  Upon returning to our bus to go to dinner, another man approached us for healing prayer.  Pastor Prakash does not know this man, but the man was drawn to us for prayer.  We claimed healing for him for provision for a job and for healing from chest pain.  The man said he felt relief, and went happily on his way.  People are being drawn to us.  Pastor Prakash said that word is getting out about us.  Teams from Springs Community Church have prayed over the city of Dar es Salaam since 2003, and Prakash said he had recieved a word from the Lord that we would experience a breakthrough this year.  Faith received a prophetic word that people would be lining up for us to pray for them.

The team will be ministering to the people of the Shanti Dham Church tomorrow.  Thank you for your continued prayers.  We are humbled and awed to be used to bring the presence and power of God’s Kingdom to this city and this part of the world.
